01 — What we do
What we do with ductwork
Your A/C can only cool what the ducts deliver. We make sure the air gets where it's supposed to go.
-
Attic duct inspection
We go into the attic and check every run we can reach for leaks, gaps, and damage.
-
Reconnecting loose runs
Flex duct can pull off its collar over time. We reattach and secure it so you're not cooling the attic.
-
Crushed or kinked flex duct
We replace sections that are pinched, sagging, or crushed so air can actually reach the room.
-
Duct sealing
We seal joints, boots, and plenum connections with mastic or approved tape to cut down on leaks.
-
Full duct replacement
When the system is old, brittle, or badly laid out, we replace it with properly sized and insulated duct.
-
Balancing airflow
We adjust runs and look at returns to even out temperatures between rooms.
02 — Signs
Signs your ducts are leaking air
Duct problems hide in the attic, so the clues show up in the rooms below.
- One or two rooms are always hotter than the rest
- Weak airflow from some vents, even with a clean filter
- Dust builds up quickly after cleaning
- The house feels humid even though the A/C runs constantly
- Power bills went up without a clear reason
- Sweating or dripping around ceiling vents
- Ducts in the attic look flattened, torn, or disconnected

Attic ductwork in Florida homes
Many Tampa Bay homes have their ductwork in the attic, and Florida attics get extremely hot in summer. A leak in a supply duct pushes cooled air into that heat, and a leak in a return can pull hot, humid attic air back into the system. Either way, the A/C works harder for less.
Humidity adds another problem. When cold ducts are poorly insulated or leaking, moisture can condense on them and drip onto drywall. That's often the source of water stains around ceiling vents. Fixing the duct and its insulation usually solves it better than patching the ceiling.
Older homes, and homes that have had additions, often have duct layouts that were never quite right. Long, sagging runs and too few returns are common. When we replace an A/C, we look at the ducts too, because new equipment on bad ductwork won't perform the way it should.

We run the system and confirm air is reaching the rooms that were struggling.

Why is one room in my house always hot?
It's often a duct problem: a disconnected or crushed run, a long duct with too little airflow, or no return path from that room. Sun exposure and poor insulation can play a part too. We check the duct serving that room first, since it's the most common and most fixable cause.
How do I know if my ducts are leaking?
Clues include uneven room temperatures, weak airflow from some vents, extra dust, high humidity, and higher power bills. You might also see condensation around ceiling vents. The surest way is a look in the attic. We inspect the runs, connections, and plenum and show you what we find.
Should I repair or replace my ductwork?
If the ducts are in decent shape with a few leaks or loose runs, repair and sealing usually makes sense. If the duct is old, brittle, poorly insulated, or badly laid out throughout, replacement is often the smarter long-term move, especially when you're installing a new A/C at the same time.
